The Process
Diane has worked with many different clients and companies over the years and every commission can be similar or very different to each other and consequently the process is always tailor made for each project.
A phone call or email is usually the first point of contact. It can be a pre amble about your interior ideas or a more in depth conversation if you have a particular concept in mind. The outcome of this conversation will usually determine the budget, timescales and how many stages of the process is needed to achieve the final outcome.
For example :
Stage 1 – Contact and Discussion.
We will discuss, the project, details of the site location, dimensions of the wall, potential obstacles, what style of design or artwork, your references, inspirations and overall concept, colours, and most importantly “What are your expectations of the final artwork”
It may be worth noting that a mural does not need to be done on site but can be painted as panels, on canvas or paper and installed at your convenience.
Stage 2 – Site visit/or information from Client – Concept boards – Sample proposal
Based on all of the information the studio will prepare an initial sample proposal with costs, suggested dates available and timescales for the project. Concept boards will be provided which are usually a sample of actual artwork with a sketch and/or layout. ( There will be charges for Site visits and concept boards)
Stage 3 – Final quote – Payment and work schedule
Once the proposal has been agreed the final quote will include a cost breakdown, work dates and a payment schedule forming the basis of a contract.
The project begins after sketches dates have been agreed and deposits have been paid.
Deposits secures the projects and dates
